Pro Hop Floater

Finishing – (Get Control in the Paint)

Pro Hop Floater with DJ Sackmann. This Finishing shot takes us through a hop step finish at the mid-line. It is important to focus on turning the shoulders for the kick out opportunities.

Key to floaters: Keep an open hand on the release. This allows you to get the basketball out of your hand quicker while shooting a floater. A lot of players tend to try to shoot floaters but keep the basketball in their hand too long and follow through like a jump shot. There is nothing wrong with this, but if you need to get your shot off quicker try the open hand method for a floater.
